• For increased awareness, the buoy can be paired with up to eight Descent T2 transceivers (sold separately), enabling those on the surface to use the Garmin Dive smartphone app to monitor the diver’s tank pressure, depth, distance and approximate locations on a map within the SubWave sonar network. (Conditions such as surface, waves, chop, objects and diver position can obstruct the signal and reduce range.)
• Topside crews can pair and use the Garmin Dive smartphone app for diver communication, exchanging preset messages with to up to eight divers who have paired their Descent T2 transceivers and compatible air-integrated dive computers with the Descent S1 buoy.
